April is National Garden Month. To honor this, show us how your garden grows.
This is my garden that I once kept at work…..once we moved offices though it wasn't so lucky. I guess that ninja couldn't fight off everything!
Over the past year, my daughter has become quite attached to a particular friend of mine and pretty much got used to seeing her all the time, since she lives nearby. Or….used to that is. Presently, she's gone home to her family for a while in South Africa- so we haven't seen her in a few weeks.
The other day my daughter asked for her and I explained….."Oh, Leanne's in South Africa right now. And she'll be back in a few months". Of course, that makes no sense to a 3-year-old- so her reply….
"Mommy, can we go to South Africa later today?"
She so cute sometimes, it hurts.
…A gentlemen in my office commented that men think about sex and women as often as pregnant women think about food……
From this, I've drawn the following conclusion:
MEN ARE NATURALLY PERVERTED!
This is what I'm getting from Babyfit this week, I'm now 13 weeks, 1 day with child(aka 93 days preggo):
Your Baby This Week
your baby is approaching 3 inches (7 cm) in length and weighs between
.015 and .02 kg (0.5 to 0.75 ounces). Your baby has nearly doubled in
size in the last two weeks and is now about the size of a sweet, ripe
The growth of your baby's head will slow down now as body growth
accelerates, allowing for more proportional development. The eyes will
move from the side of the head towards the middle of the face, while
the ears will lie flat against the skull. And finally, your baby's
secret is revealed! Genitals are developing and an ultrasound may be
able to tell you if it's a boy or a girl, but most women don't have an
ultrasound until 20 weeks. Your baby's intestines will also begin to
move up from the umbilical cord into the abdomen. If it doesn't the
condition (called omphalocele), which occurs in 1 in 10,000 babies, is
usually correctable via surgery after birth.
Your Body This Week
gain will definitely begin to show, but your tummy may only be bulging
a little bit, resembling a soft, smooth ball. Your breasts continue to
grow and may also feel "lumpy" as glands and milk ducts begin to form.
Veins frequently become visible just under the skin as the weight of
your breasts increases. Before pregnancy your breasts weigh about 7
ounces each. At the end of pregnancy, they can weigh as much as 28
Now….even if you're not into babies, don't like them or whatever- be honest. THAT is freaking cool. My baby is peach sized and will weigh roughly more than a small bag of sugar by the time it's born. Isn't life amazing?
There's this 42" thing in my living room that I often refer to as a "Madden Machine" because that's all it's seemingly used for- playing Madden via PS3. Recently I've decided that I am going to watch said machine since it's not something that I normally do. This has turned out to be a wonderful experience.
I'm normally not a couch potato, but my current situation causes me to be somewhat narcoleptic so I don't cook when I come home for fear of burning down our home, and laundry is out of the question because I always miss the rinse cycle. Now….television is different. If I miss something, I simply REWIND. How cool is THAT?!?!?
Well….since my takeover of the "Madden Machine" I've acquired a new weekly series, The No 1. Ladies Detective Agency….and watched 2 movies to completion(never happens), Baby Mama and 7 Pounds.
Now the Ladies Detective Agency is GREAT. A friend of mine turned me on to the book sometime ago, but I never got around to reading it- But the show is amazing. I'm really enjoying it- and HD makes it so much better.
Baby Mama– LOLHAHAHROFL. That's all that I can say there.
7 Pounds– For those that have seen it, I say….WTF? It's not what I expected so I don't know if the movie was horrible or good. Honestly I had no clue as to what was going on until the VERY end.
Now….it's still pretty early in the day and I have the energy to complete a few tasks that need to be taken care of immediately. Besides, the "machine" is currently being used by a 3-yr-old for Imagination Movers- the takeover of this one would be quite hostile- and I'm not willing to take the chance.
